Noa Market in 2 minutes

Noa Market is a place to predict what happens next. Pick an outcome, back it with tokens, and get paid if you're right. Everything runs transparently on the NEAR blockchain.

Making a prediction

Simple prediction mechanics with clear odds

01. OUTCOMES

Every market asks a question with 2 to 10 possible outcomes.

02. PROBABILITY PRICING

The price is the crowd's guess at the odds. An outcome at 25% costs ~0.25 per share, paying 1 token if it wins (10 tokens can turn into ~40).

03. FLEXIBLE EXIT

Changed your mind? You can sell at any time before the market closes to take profit or cut losses.

04. CLOSING & SETTLEMENT

Once the market closes, trading halts immediately and everyone waits for the result.

NPOINT to play with

New here? Tap Claim NPOINT at the top of the page to grab tokens and start predicting. NPOINT is a real token on NEAR mainnet. It has no utility outside Noa Market yet… but we're cooking something. Points you stack up now may count for more later.

Any other “NPOINT” token is not ours. Always check the contract address.

Creating a market

Be a market maker and earn fees

  • 1Write a question, list the outcomes, and pick when predictions close.
  • 2Pick the token: Each market runs in one supported token. All predictions and payouts use that currency.
  • 3Name a resolver: The account reporting the result (must not be yourself).
  • 4Deposit a starting stake to seed initial liquidity. A small creation fee applies. Cancel before trading starts to recover your stake in full.
  • 5When the market ends, remaining pool funds after payouts return to you (can be more or less than initial stake).

Make it hard to game

If a market is about a token's price, someone could try to push that price right at the deadline to win. How you write the question decides how hard that is:

  • Use a price everyone can check. CoinGecko or CoinMarketCap average many exchanges. A single small DEX pool is cheap to push.
  • Small or meme coin? Use an average, not a moment. Settle on the average price over 12 to 24 hours, not the price at one minute. Holding a pump for a whole day costs far more than one candle.
  • Match the pool to the token. A bigger pool is a bigger prize for anyone who can move the price. Small coin, small pool. Save big pools for big coins (NEAR, BTC, ETH) or questions that aren't about price.
  • Not every market needs a price. Questions about events or on-chain data (a vote passing, a launch date, a protocol setting) can't be bought.
  • Say what happens if it's gamed. Add a line like “If the price is clearly manipulated around the deadline, this market will be voided.” Void gives everyone back what they put in (trading fees aside).

Resolved✓ Resolved

When: The market closed and the result is in.

Your Action: Holding the winning outcome? Each share pays 1 token. Hit Claim. Other outcomes pay nothing.

Void⚠ Void

When: No result was posted in time (usually 30 days after close), or the question turned out to be broken.

Your Action: You get back what you put in: your buys minus anything you already got from selling. Trading fees aren't refunded. Hit Claim.

Cancelled✕ Cancelled

When: The creator pulled the market before anyone traded.

Your Action: Nothing to do. Only the creator was in, and they get their stake back.

Claimed tokens reflect in your Noa balance immediately. You can withdraw to your NEAR wallet at any time.

Common questions

Why your position shows what it shows

The real-world answer already looks like Yes. Why is my Yes position down?

Prices move only when people trade, not when the news moves. If more people bought No (or sold Yes) after you bought, Yes got cheaper and your position shows a loss. Read the question closely too: “NEAR above $5 at the end” is decided at the close, not today. Example: you bought 394 Yes at ~0.52 (204 tokens). The crowd now says 49%, so it shows ~193. If Yes wins, those shares still pay 394.

Why did I get less than the value shown when I closed my position?

The value on your position is shares × the current price. Selling pays the 2% trading fee, and a big sale pushes the price down as you sell, so you get a bit less, especially in quiet markets. The trade form shows the exact amount before you confirm.

Why did I pay more per share than the price shown?

Each share you buy nudges the price up a little, so a big buy gets an average price above the starting one. Splitting a trade doesn't help: the total is the same. Check the average price in the trade form before you confirm.

An outcome is at 97%. Is that free money?

No. You pay ~0.97 to win 1, so you make 3% if it hits and lose almost everything if it doesn't. Cheap outcomes are the opposite: small cost, big payout, and they usually lose.

Can I buy both Yes and No?

You can, but one Yes plus one No always pays exactly 1 token in the end, whatever happens. Holding both mostly locks in your cost plus fees. To change your mind, sell what you hold.

Why did the odds jump when I only bought a little?

Markets with little money in them move more on every trade. The same buy barely moves a busy market but can swing a quiet one by several points. That works both ways: your next trader can swing it back just as fast.

Why does my position show a profit or loss before the market ends?

It's a live estimate: what your shares are worth at today's price. Nothing is locked in until you sell or the result is final. A big gain today can disappear tomorrow, and a loss can turn into a full payout if your outcome wins.

Can I sell after the market closes?

No. Trading stops at the close time. After that your shares wait for the result: winning shares pay 1 token each, the rest pay nothing.

Who decides the result, and when do I get paid?

The market's resolver reports the result after it closes, then a short review window runs. Once it's final, winning shares are worth 1 token each. Open the market and hit Claim to collect.

What if a market is unclear or never gets a result?

If no result is posted in time (usually 30 days after close) or the question turns out to be broken, the market goes Void. You get back what you put in, minus anything you already got from selling. Trading fees aren't refunded.
