Privacy Policy
Last updated:
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Noa Market processes information when you visit or use its website, interfaces, prediction-market features, wallet authentication, and related services (the “Service”). Public blockchains operate independently, and information written to them is not controlled by this policy.
2. Information we collect
The information processed depends on how you use the Service. We do not ask for your wallet seed phrase or private key.
- Wallet and account information, such as your NEAR account ID, wallet address, public key, selected wallet provider, authentication nonce, signature-verification result, session identifier, and account creation time.
- Public blockchain and market activity, such as transactions, token movements, contract calls, transaction hashes, markets created, positions, trades, balances, settlements, fees, and timestamps.
- Profile and community information you choose to provide, such as a display name, comments, market questions and rules, images, links, watchlists, and notification preferences.
- Referral information, including a referring wallet account, market ID, timestamp, and an opaque browser-generated visitor identifier when you open a qualifying referral link.
- Uploaded-file information, such as the uploader account, file URL, content type, size, and deletion metadata.
- Technical and security information, which may include IP-derived request information, browser or device details, request headers, timestamps, error records, rate-limit events, and server logs.
- Usage analytics (pages viewed, clicks, key actions such as trading or creating a market), linked to your NEAR account ID once you connect a wallet.
- Error reports (error details, browser info, and a masked replay of the moments before an error).
- Information you submit when you contact an official support channel.
3. How we obtain information
We receive information directly from you, from your browser and connected wallet, from public blockchain networks and smart contracts, from indexers and RPC providers, and from service providers that help operate and secure the Service.
4. How we use information
- Authenticate wallet users, maintain sessions, and protect accounts.
- Display markets, trades, positions, balances, profiles, comments, rankings, watchlists, notifications, referrals, and transaction status.
- Operate deposits, withdrawals, market creation, trading, settlement, uploads, and support features.
- Detect fraud, abuse, exploits, security incidents, and violations of our Terms.
- Debug, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, resolve disputes, and protect the rights and safety of users and the Service.
6. Public blockchain information
Wallet addresses, account IDs, token transfers, transaction hashes, smart-contract calls, market activity, and other blockchain records may be public, searchable, copied by third parties, and permanently retained. Noa Market cannot control, change, or delete records maintained by a public blockchain or independent third-party service.
Disconnecting a wallet or deleting information from a Noa Market interface does not remove public blockchain history.
7. Browser storage and sessions
The Service uses local storage, session storage, and similar necessary browser storage to keep you signed in, remember the selected wallet and preferences, save market-creation drafts, recover pending transactions or publications, prevent repeated notices, remember settlement displays, and record referral attribution.
Authentication tooling may persist access and refresh sessions in browser storage. Wallet providers and linked third-party services may use their own cookies or browser storage under their own policies. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
8. Analytics and error monitoring
We use PostHog for usage analytics (stored in your browser's local storage, not cookies) and Sentry for error reports. The only identifier they get is your NEAR account ID (never your name or email), and neither is used for advertising. Blocking them does not affect the Service.
9. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate and secure the Service, maintain transaction and accounting records, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and satisfy legal obligations. Retention depends on the information and why it is processed.
Some information cannot be deleted, including public blockchain data and records that must be retained for security, fraud prevention, legal, tax, accounting, or dispute purposes.
10. Your choices and requests
You can disconnect your wallet, sign out, clear browser storage through your browser, and avoid submitting optional profile or community content. Clearing storage may sign you out, reset preferences, or remove locally saved drafts and recovery information.
Depending on applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain information, or object to or restrict certain processing. Submit a request through the official support channels linked by the Service. We may need to verify that you control the relevant wallet or account before acting on a request.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information, including signed-wallet authentication, access controls, session controls, and request validation. No internet, database, wallet, or blockchain system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for protecting your wallet, private keys, recovery phrase, device, browser, and account session. Noa Market support will never ask for your seed phrase or private key.
12. Children
The Service is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 years old and meet the legal age required where you live to use the Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact an official support channel if you believe a child has provided information through the Service.
13. International processing
The Service, its contributors, infrastructure providers, and blockchain networks may operate in different countries. Your information may therefore be transferred to, stored in, or processed in countries whose data-protection rules differ from those where you live.
14. Changes and contact
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service, data practices, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version.
Privacy questions or requests can be sent through the official support channels linked by the Service. Your use of Noa Market is also governed by our Terms of Service.
